Your book or magazine:
Don’t be sad

Audience:
for all people who needs practical advise on how to replace sadness and ultimately satisfying Islamic outlook on life.

Book Story:
it exposes to the modern reader how Islam teaches us to deal with the tests and tribulations of this world.

Art Direction:
I want to create a simple design with a powerful and touchy image that shows the sadness in a visual way, but at the same time to make the viewer happy and give them a hope by using a catchy color in the Arabic typography especially the word “ don’t be sad “. So my focal point in the cover will be “ don’t be sad “

Keywords: Transformation, hope, happiness, sadness.

Photoshop techniques:
Adjusting the image into black and white and playing more with lighting in the image. Placing the text in the right place and trying different colors for the typography until I reached the best color for the word don’t be sad.

  1. I understand your determination on creating a powerful image, which I’m all excited about. However what I need to know is how to create the powerful image. Try to connect the message that you want to send, which is ‘how Islam teaches us to deal with the tests and tribulations of this world’ and the visual message that you want to create. How are you going to portrait the message in the image? yun*

  2. I find it nice that you chose orange. It really says happiness..

  3. try a powerful image maybe showing features more.

    all the best hessa

  4. Book
    1. Add the English title on the cover and the side.
    2. The text on the back should be arranged such a way to carry the front image, a flower growing scene.
    3. Trace her contour with flowery outlines.
    4. Fix the bottom of her clothes with an even lighting.
    5. The flowers can flourished with various sizes of strokes and colors. Make it fuller>> Saying don’t be sad in a very strong way. Blooming flowers are speaking a visual language; Don’t be sad.
    Layout
    1. Characteristics of the page: flowery, springy, movement, rhythmic, which are not depicted here yet.
    2. Fashionable and dynamic fonts needed.
    3. Come out the the box frames.
